1. Wrap the Velcro around three times, so it won't let go.

2. Have big hands that grip the entire mouthpiece.

Karl, if I have a lot of changes, I use the metal Bay ligature. Somewhat
better sound doesn't make up for a handful of reed, ligature, mouthpiece when
the solo is cued!
