In the States it's known as Teflon Tape. If the joint is very loose, it
will take a lot of the tape to fill the space as it is very, very thin.

A temporary fix is to buy a small reel of plumbers sealing tape (cheap,
white and very thin plastic tape). Wrap a little around the tenon. Very
useful in emergencies for all sorts of things!

Subject: [kl] Barrel question
A clarinet-player friend recently gave me a Leblanc Concerto barrel to use
with my Vito plastic student clarinet, telling me (and demonstrating to me)
that the instrument would have nicer sound. However, the Concerto barrel is
quite loose on the Vito. Is there any way to make it fit better without
actually replacing the tenon cork?
