i LOVE my Vandoren Optimum ligature, but probably for the wrong reasons.
When I have to switch to A clarinet real quick, I have found that the
OPTIMUM holds the reed on very securely for the switch, and if the reed
does slip, then I only have to adjust one screw. My tone also sounds
better. Maybe it's because I feel "secure" without anticipating that
annoying slippage". There's nothing worse than having 10 or less seconds
to get ready for a quick switch, then having the reed and ligature go
flying into the air, maybe onto the dance floor for a
band-stand catastrophe. ANNIE
