I think it is possible to obtain the product at less than the "retail"
prices. They also have a demo download that is worth looking at.

I have mentioned several times (without response) a most capable music
program called PC Composer. It can do cross staff beaming and also the
situation you describe below. It can also do fan beaming and MANY other
things. You can get up to 44 staves in the best version. I am not a
composer, but I really like it.
