The following was cut&pasted from the Symantec website (they're the people
behind Norton Antivirus, so they know what they're talking about...)

It is always best to check into these warnings before passing them on. The
very act of passing the warning round millions of people is often the
hoaxer's main aim. The increased internet traffic and degraded web server
performance caused by passing these messages on is the "virus". Nearly all
of the people who pass on these messages do so with the best of intentions.

The following message has been sent out by email. It is a hoax. This "virus"
does not exist.

The hoax message includes the following "warning":

Als je een e-mail ontvangt met als
onderwerp "Your friend D=fit
< mailto:D=fit > "
moet je hem NIET openen. Je harde
schijf wordt dan meteen gewist.Stuur
dit mailbericht naar zoveel mogelijk
mensen. Het is een nieuw, zeer
kwaadaardig virus. Deze informatie
werd bekendgemaakt door McAfee. Deel
dit nieuws met iedereen in je
adresboek, zodat de verspreiding
van het virus kan worden stopgezet.
Het is een zeer GEVAARLIJK virus en
wordt op dit moment door nog geen
enkel antivirusprogramma herkend.
Dus niet openen !!! Service Center
