Yes and there are a few quantization tricks to make tuplets come out
correctly and quarter notes to look right instead of as double dotted
eighths followed by 32nd rests.

Since MIDI continues to be the only universal standard for inputting to
various music notation programs, the fidelity achieved from MIDI input into
our programs will continue to be of interest. I wait for some enterprising
individual to break the stranglehold each music notation company has on our
loyalty by offering conversion software between a few of the various
proprietary formats.
