Oliver,

Have you tried the same experiment with SmartScore? I find it much more
accurate than MidiScan and the recognition process is quicker as well. You
still need a clear original, but you might be surprised at how much better
it works. Of course, I don't know the current price because I bought it over
a year ago.

BTW, the full version of Neuratron (Sibelius includes Neuratron Light) is
supposed to recognize and copy a lot of text and expression markings that
both Musitek products leave out. It's pricey, though (>$200), and the only
way to try is to buy because the light (demo) version doesn't read anything
except pitches and rhythms (same as MidiScan).
