Very sorry to read about the stolen horns, hope they reappear quickly.
Just a quick note to wish everyone well in the new year and mention for
those in the Toronto area a recital of Australian, Canadian and U.S. music
for clarinet and bass clarinet, unaccompanied and with piano, I'm doing this
Thursday at the University of Toronto, in the Faculty of Music's Walter
Hall. Featuring Australian composers Margaret Sutherland, Miriam Hyde and
Ian Shanahan, Canadian composers Andrew Gilpin and Christos Hatzis and New
Yorker Davide Zannoni, this one runs the gamut from jazzy to insane! (Too
many notes, Herr Mozart...) Anyway it's from 12 noon 'til 1 PM and you can't
beat the price ('cause there is none!). If anyone from the list comes,
please say hello afterward!
