Hi Jim,

It is surely a "simple" Albert system (German) bass clarinet, missing a lot
of (some essential) key-work which is standard on most German bass clarinets
(German or Oehler system) from approx. 1950. I'm playing a German system
Wurlitzer bass clarinet from 1964 till low C.
Most important missing key-work on the e-bay bass clarinet:

Upper joint
only one side triller
Missing B'- flat correction mechanism
Automatic (double) duo-decime mechanism

Lower joint
Missing rollers
No b"/cis" triller mechanism
No extra keys for left pink for f" and e-flat"
No fork B-flat'/f" mechanism
No venting key for b'/fis"

Normal extension for German system bass clarinets: low D of low C (full
system)
As far as i can see is the extension of the E-bay bass clarinet till low E.

greeting,

Hans de Nijs

Hi Jim (if this is the Jim Harper from the Little Rock Wind Symphony?),

It's an interesting bass clarinet......kinda reminds me of a German system,
but you can't really tell from the pictures. Since it only has two left
hand pinky keys that's why I'm guessing German system.

If you find out anything, let me know.
