It is designed to cut a very small bit off the end of reeds. I find it
useful for one mouthpiece that I have because 3.5 reeds are too soft for it
and #4 reeds are too hard. If I trim a very small amount off the end of a
3.5 reed, it is perfect for that mouthpiece
