Keep in mind that most pawn shops have sister stores else where. Our band
hall was cleaned out one night, and some of the instruments were found in a
Chicago pawn shop even though they were pawned here in Galveston County
(Texas). The pawn shop must have suspected them to be hot so they moved them
out of the area as some as the 90 day claim period was over. This shop is a
national chain and I've been there and watched them bring in merchandize
from other areas to their store here. That makes me suspicious right there
as this isn't an area known for high dollars.
