I played New Years with a fellow who has tried Legere on clarinet, alto
and tenor. I asked him about the sax reeds and he told me he didn't like
what he had tried on alto but the tenor was a very usable reed. That
would add, in my mind, to the possibility that they might be a good reed
for bass clarinet. (One person commented that the tenor reed worked well
on bass clarinet for him.) My experience has been that a good,
conventional, cane reed for tenor has also been a usable reed for me on
my bass clarinet.

I too will be very interested in trying out the Legere reed for bass
clarinet when they come out. Sometimes I have a doubling job that calls
for just a little bass clarinet. When grabbing for the horn, it would be
nice to have a reed that is ready to go and doesn't go into waves at the
tip after the first four notes.
