Walter,

I'm sorry to be so slow answering. We've been visiting obnoxious relatives
during the goyish holidays. God has been punishing us for our sins.

Boil cup of Chicago water
Set metronome at 60
Dip tip of reed one half inch for one second
Let cool
Play (tomorrow it will be slightly stiffer)

This method has the complete approval of Guy Legere who was quite grateful
to learn of its discovery by the the brilliant reed technoligist: Ed
Maurey.
