I can't play with sonic distractions either. In fact, I'm so aurally
oriented, I can't talk to somebody on the phone without first turning
off the radio, because I can't restrain myself from concentrating on the
music instead of the voice coming out of the phone. I also have to shut
the window to block out sounds from the outside, or I'll be distracted
by that as well. Every sound in the world becomes some form of music
for me -- rhythmic, melodic, or both. It's a blessing and curse, but
mostly a blessing, because I'm surrounded by what I love more than
anything else. Everybody else thinks I'm nuts, of course.
