To Tony Pay: Your post about being an actor was much more understandable
than "Pewplopsky" and the other dude. I liked it and agreed with it.
However, it does take a certain amount of technical skill for one to be
"brave" enough to shed the mask and be free. If one doesn't have enough
technical skill or endurance to make it through the performance, then
the freedom doesn't happen. Most of us reach that "moment" at different
times and venues. I have experienced it on the bandstand playing
improvized solos many times. I shall be playing down at the American
Legion Post 38 tonight, and I don't know what's going to
happen....Everything from Glenn Miller abd Benny Goodman to The Doors
(they have a lot of Vietnam Vets who now ride motorcycles).... I hope I
can remember my lyrics....ranging from Patsy Cline to Billie Holiday.
Hope this wasn't too far off topic. I'm a little nervous. ANNIE
