Subject: [kl] audition pieces.

Memorize and get proficient with all the scales. Most of the ex-military
bandsmen I've talked to said this was one of the things that popped up on
their auditions. Same for most colleges too. Look sharp! Military bands are
very much in the public eye and they want people who look sharp and well
groomed. Good luck! Its a good gig if you can get in. A freinds daughter
played in the symphony for a couple years, but got bored playing the same
type music all the time. She joined the Navy and played in their band and
loved it as they played more variety and got to travel more.
