I just want to get an opinion this. Can the quality of your reed, for
example being warped, not having a enough moisture in it, or just warn out
cause your clarinet to make a buzzing sound in the throat tones down to low
C and in the notes B A and G in the altissimo register? I am not just
talking about the characteristic buzz but a one that is annoying and goes
all over the clarinet. I have had this problem for a month but it went a way
when I changed reeds yesterday. I am in Cincinnati where it is very cold and
dry right now and I am not use to playing in this weather. Just could all
this be making my clarinet have an extra buzz about it? My clarinet cracked
a month ago but was repaired and I was happy with it and did not notice any
of this.
