Cool! Maybe you can start an on-line book-mobile therapy service, sort
of like Oprah's "book of the month" club. Only this one would be for
potentially dysfunctional clarinetists who need "strength". I certainly
do. I need to lose 20 lbs and figure out a way to get to the Y for water
aerobics every morning at 10. The water aerobics teacher plays beautiful
jazz and salza music for us to work out to. (oops, I used a split
"infinity" or something terrible). All I have to figure out is how to
make sure we have enough fresh veggies to load up the juicer and pack up
the lunch box so I can make it to the Music Store to practice and teach
all afternoon without getting sleepy or depressed.
How is this related to clarinet playing or "creativity"? It is very
related to me, because if I feel like a walking zombie, then I can't
accomplish anything or inspire my students to play with a beautiful
tone, or have my wits about me to remember all of my music, clarinet
case, boom box, CD's, wristwatch (to stay on track, on schedule),
pennywhistle, lunch-box and then put gas in the car.
I am staying on the list, but you may not hear from me for a while.
ANNIE
