Could somebody please pull up the very first post? I don't remember
anybody positing the issue using the word "merely" when describing
the difference between antisemitism and Nazism. I'm getting the im-
pression that using "merely" is an interpretive mechanism in this dis-
cussion. Nobody ever said that antisemitism is more forgivable or
less onerous than Nazism, as far as I remember. What has been stated
is that the two are different, which they are.
