Stick those suckers up on eBay - chances are, you'll find someone who
wants one, but doesn't have $80 for a new one, but will pay $50 for a

I forgot to mention that I bought them both at a police
auction..... honest .... but I haven't bothered to examine them closely
with my magnifying glass to see if the previous owners are identifiable
through their teeth marks ...

Sorry, that was in poor taste (maybe).
Now that I have a wood instrument, I put my plastic Yamaha on
consignment at the local music shop, but it hasn't sold. So many of
them go for $100 in this town, and for $100, I'd rather keep mine as a
spare. Someday I'll do something stupid, like knock my wood instrument
over and step on the keys. (but not today <knock on wood> )
You never know, perhaps someday I'll change my mind about
mouthpieces. Nothing is absolute in music, is it? The truth is,
after watching the stolen bass fiasco, I'm not sure that I would ever
want to get involved with electronic auctions. I hope Dee and Lelia
will forgive me for saying so.

Cheers,
Bill
