I enjoyed reading other's descriptions, so i am adding mine. If i am not
as inspired as Roger, I don't have the help of the fine wine.

I got home at 1 am Christmas morning, tired but satisfied with full day
of music, three services for choir at my own church, and one paid service
at another church sandwiched in.
No clarinet though, voice and viola.

The paid (viola) job at nearby church helped remind me how glad i am to
make music with our organist/choir director, who is professional in all
the good meanings of the word. I also remembered that i was reading bass
clef while playing tenor line in hymns, and it was nice to dust off the
viola.

The choir music went well. I realized a dream in singing Brahms
"Geistliches Wagenlied" (Lullaby for the Christ Child), which was
comfortable to perform and well received. (This is a big step, I have
only done single verses or simple song as solo voice.) I liked the song
before there was any hint that i would one day be able to sing it, since
it is Brahms chamber music, and includes viola and well as piano. One
choir member is a violist. It was a dream, and it unfolded so naturally.
Amazing.

Weather in Florida --temperature dropped to 40 overnight, but noon
Christmas day was comfortable sitting outside in the sunshine in long
sleeve shirt for Christmas dinner with one family group.

Have Christmas part 2 today with meal cooked by my Mother (both excellent
AND familiar), and rest of family gift exchange. The presents I selected
have been well received.

Prospero Nuevo Ano!
