Does anyone fight over female musicians? Do they say Musician A is =
better than Musician B until they are blue in the face, if those people =
are women?

I have noticed a lack of participation in this "debate" from the female =
contributors to this list.

I believe excellent musicians with different characteristics can exist, =
excelling in different ways, they don't have to be "better" than each =
other; I think this is a polarised, narrow-minded, one-track and =
traditionally male point of view, but then you can ignore me I suppose =
because I am female and not an excellent clarinettist, just a humble =
music teacher.
