Thanks for the reply Bill.

I have actually compared them with me playing one then the other. Still get
one sounding sharper than the other. (My hubby has a good ear, he says the
same).

Your analogy with the balls is accepted! (Yes bowling is played here!)
Have been looking at buying a a tuner - will have to follow up on that one.
I did pull the barrel out the other night, so that helped!

Is the Vandoren B45 made from hard rubber vs the plastic on the Yamaha?
Just curious...
