That seems like a valuable enough lesson to learn. The first part
means you can play it correctly at least once. The second part means
you can play it correctly every single time you attempt it. And the
way to achieve the second part? More grade school platitudes:

Practice doesn't make perfect. Practice makes permanent.
Perfect practice makes perfect.
