Nancy,

I've not been to Fingal's cave yet, but hope to go someday. All these fascinating things on my
doorstep, and I keep going to France on holiday!

Fingal's cave is on Staffa, a very small island about 10 miles west of Mull, one of the larger
islands in the inner Hebrides. It is only accessible by sea, and I am sure that during the summer
months (May-August) there is many a boat trip leaves Mull full of music buffs anxious to see Felix's
inspiration.

If you have an atlas, look for Mull, and then go about 10 miles west. The little dot there will be
Staffa. It is marked on http://www.multimap.com if you enter Staffa in the place name and click on
the Argyll&Bute link on the next screen, you'll find it.

Cheers

Ian
