I too have noticed VanDorens slipping in quallity and consistancy this =
last year. The worst have been the ones for my EEb contra set up for =
bari sax reeds. I tried some LaVoz out of desperation and they play =
great like the "old" VDs. I feel if I plop down good money for reeds =
made by a professional reed maker, they should at least be playable if =
not great and not have to work on them for an hour to doctor them into =
playable condition. It's like buying a new Mercedes and having to work =
on it for an hour to get it home.
