"legal" yes, but they are only "legal" because of the
standards committee keeping old junk for the sake of
"backward compatibility" I have chaired many (too many)
standards committees. We always hoped that people would
get the message and stop using the old junk that did not
do anything other than clog the system. Some people never
get the message.

then again, I seem to have lead us off that long pier...
back to clarinets.
