Subj: [kl] WebTV junk
Date: Wed, 13 Dec 2000 23:37:23 -0500

I suspected that the differences in experiences had to do with the e-mail
clients, so I skipped the client.
I looked at the "raw" messages, and you are right, WebTV, followed
closely by AOL(sigh) have the most header/footer junk. As an internet
person of over 15 years, I note that most of this has to caused by someone
at WebTV and AOL not reading the last 7 years of MIME standards.

Why am I not bothered in my reading? I use the much-maligned MS
Outlook at work and at home. It happily clips obsolete header junk.
not the easiest mail Client, but it is free with many MS packages.
Otherwise, I would be using Eudora Pro.

did this enlighten? or just confuse?
best wishes,
terry
