OK. Tongue back out of cheek.

Physical problems notwithstanding, a trained clarinetist should be able to
play well (suppot the tone) while standing OR sitting. Why? Because
performance considerations sometimes require it.

If you are Tony Gigliotti or Robert Marcellus, maybe you can get away with a
concerto sitting down. I wouldn't try it.

That's all I have to say on the matter. The rest of the argument is
irrelevant, as far as I am concerned.
