So don't think that I'm against technical expertise.

I for one, certainly do not, as I read yours, and the posts of all of the
accomplished professionals on this list with a vengeance. However, I also
appreciate that , for once, someone also is willing to let people know that
the over-focus on the technicalities of playing at the sacrifice of the
living music is something that should not go on.
