For some of us, it does <g>. What I meant here is any kind of CD-R will
work on a computer. It does not matter what kind of data may be on the
disc-- be it music or a backup of your documents from your hard drive.

Actually, I said what I meant. Even the best CD-R's can be flaky at times.
These are the places where I find that it doesn't work as well. Esp. car CD
players and DVD players. Almost none of the DVD players out there will play
CD-R's. They will play "real" CDs (Made commercially using a glass master
and metalized plastic--like the ones you can buy at your local record
store), but not necessarily CDR's. It has to do with the reflectivity of
the dye (the same reason why some CD players won't play CDRs.
