Not that it matters, but I bought a program that 'plays' and
records a written composition. This way, I can write my own
accompaniments (various instruments) and then play along with them.
Making copies of recordings or broadcasts doesn't seem to me to be worth
the effort.

In this last sentence, you meant "many CD-RW's won't even work",
didn't you? Or do I still misunderstand something?
