I use a silk swab, which is very compressible and pulls through quite
easily. I seriously doubt it is causing any wear at all. The mouthpiece
mouse confuses me. I understand the purpose of Pad Saver/Shove-It devices,
which is to wick moisture away from the pads, but mouthpieces don't have
pads. I notice they don't even TRY to sell you such a device for the
barrel joint, which also has no pads, so what is a mouthpiece mouse really
supposed to do that can't be done better with a swab?

If you have to mic a saxophone, the rest of the band is too loud.
