Nobody has said this explicity, so just in case.... We're all
assuming that you do remove the reed from your mouthpiece and wipe the
exterior of the mouthpiece clean of any debris and hold the reed under
the faucet --- all of this after every session.
Don't ever pull your swab through the mouthpiece. You don't want
to damage the sharp edges. But immersing the mouthpiece in vinegar
every couple of weeks, and then rinsing with clear water, will clean out
any gunk from the interior of the mouthpiece.
