David N,
Nice way of explaining the order of scales! Here's
a fun order that helped me learn Harmonic & Melodic
relation ships by adding a sharp as you go....(sort of)
C major
a natural minor (same key as C Major)
a harmonic minor (#7)
a melodic minor (#6, #7) even though not technically
correct, I practice #6, #7 both
up and down the scale....
A Major (#3 of the previous melodic minor scale!)
f# natural minor (same key as A Major)
f# harmonic minor (#7)
f# melodic minor (#6, #7)
F# Major
etc.
Anyone else have other fun orders?
