Thanks for all your lovely advice on scale learning. I've made a note of
all suggestions and will try them all. Thanks mostly for the encouragement.
I think I will invest in Howard's book, as I don't seem to do much with my
tongue except tonging, and, although I believe I'm supposed to be able to
alter the pitch of a note using my tongue, rather than slackening my lip,
(which I think might be a bad habbit) I can't get the hang of it yet. I
live in a rural part of Wales and my teacher is not good at all, but I am
unable to travel, so make the most of what I can learn from her, and this
list will be invaluable.
