I'm sure Howard's course in clarinet pedagogy must be very useful. He seems
to have a way of disecting one's playing and quickly pointing to exactly
what is needed to improve things. I studied with him over an intensive four
days to get some pointers after years away from the instrument. He started
out by complimenting me on my playing. Then, after I had a warm and fuzzy
feeling, he gently pointed out about 8 crucial areas where I could improve.
A good teacher is hard to find!
