Does anyone know when the BARI plastic reed first entered the market? I remember
a tenor sax reed (clear plastic, no manufacturer markings) being mailed to me as a
promo somewhere around 1975. I put it on my bass clarinet and have been using it
ever since. Talk about long life. And, yes, it has been washed, at least once a
year.
