A new student entered my class yesterday. She said, "I already know you, but
where from". After some questioning we found out we used to work together, even
though we didn't know each other at the time, in the Nutcracker. She was one of
the little wachamacallits that come out from under that old lady's skirt and has
been working her way up in the roles ever since. It is different to have a
student in your class that actually knows what you are talking about when you
have a class discussion on culture, role models and heroes, and the commitment it
takes to do something well.

Any one else have a similar experience?
