Pardon me for a maudlin message, but tonight my daughter (who still
likes rap and rock better than Beethoven and Smetana) came into the room
where I practice and announced: "I like that music better than what you
usually play, Dad."
I assumed that she was just being polite, or perhaps she was
buttering me up as kids will do sometimes; but eventually she convinced
me that she truly didn't know who wrote the music in question. (I
did.)

Hmmm, my eyes seem to be leaking again.....
