I have a new 7th grade student whose trumpet playing band director has his =
second year clarinet players all on medium-hard LaVoz. He is insistent =
on the MH or #4 reeds! Needless to say, the girl is struggling to play. =
I am "working" on the reeds to make them a very playable 3. =20

Next step is a very nice letter to the BD with some suggestions of more =
effective ways of improving tone and range.
