While the DEG barrels do LOOK a little "weird," they function like a normal
barrel. The internal dimensions are FAR more important than the material.
The disks are supposed to act somewhat like cooling fins to make the barrel
less susceptible to temperature change. I bought one many years ago to
solve a pitch problem on MY clarinet, since cured by switching mouthpieces.
Put that one on your flat clarinet and it should help, since it is, as
marked, a 64 mm barrel, 2 mm shorter than your other ones.
