I'm pretty sure he was referring to the artist on his web site,
not to Britney Spears. And since we're talking (at least a little)
about operatically trained pop singers, I'll throw a couple of names
into the hat: (1) Pat Benatar, and (more obviously) (2) Whitney Houston.
Possibly Maria Carey, but to me, her particular talent for hitting
stratospheric notes can be accomplished by anybody who happend to
step on a bear trap.
