Subj: [kl] Av Galper's clarinet book
Date: Sat, 2 Dec 2000 19:34:42 -0500

Av Galper sent me a copy of Tone, Technique, and Staccato as published
by Mharva Music in Toronto. I don't do much teacher but I did have a
student to whom I gave it, and it was a delightful book to work with.
It has a piece of everything (except duets - Av, how can you write a
clarinet book and have no duets???).

It's got tips for practicing, exercizes for tone, a bunch of the
Korepsch exercises, scales, arpeggios, and some every personal
adaptations of a variety of excerpts from some well known orchestral
works.

I enjoyed it very much.
