About how many hours of playing time would you estimate you get per Legere
reed and how would you rate their consistancy from reed to reed. I tried
them about two years ago when they were first marketed and the first reed I
tried was wonderful. It lasted about 6 weeks, but it was played at least
3-4 hours a day. When I tried to replace it , I couldn't duplicate the
strength or quality of that first reed. I assume from the recent
comments that the problems I encountered have been surmounted.
I'm giving them another try now, but would appreciate any input regarding
above.
Also, has anyone tried rotating several reeds to increase the life of the
individual reeds being used. They seem to break down or soften after an
hour or so of use. Might resting them increase their playing time?
