I keep Fibracells on a couple of mouthpieces I use for testing instruments
after repairs, etc. I find that they sound fine, but for some strange
reason play consistently FLAT, even on setups that with cane reeds are
perfectly fine. Could it be that the material just has a differrent and
slightly lower resonance frequency or something?
