Hello everyone,

Since trying Legere reeds a year ago I have found them to be very useful
in certain situations. Last season I rotated two Legere reeds for our
entire run of Nutcracker rehearsals and performances, not exactly
guilt-free while I was doing it, but it worked. We have 16 or 17
Nutcracker services each season and in the past I am usually rotating
old reeds around. Sometimes I would make new reeds and use the
Nutcracker to break them in. What was so great about the Legere reeds
is that I could spend a whole lot more time with my daughter doing
Christmas stuff and not think twice about my reeds. Each day I would
show up and they would play consistently for me. It almost felt like
cheating, but after 200 performances of the Nutcracker I'm really okay
with this. Nobody seemed to be complaining as we did Waltz of the
Fleurs for the millionth time as the dancers tried to get it together!

Happy holidays to all of you.
