One clear difference between the plain German silver keywork on my B flat and
the nickel-plated keys on my 80s Buffet A is that the latter are *much* stiffer.
I don't know whther this is because of the copper layer, or because
the actual fabric is of a different composition - and possibly
more corrosion-prone.
