I've posted about this before, but to continue beating this not-so-dead horse, my R-13 Greenline (nickel plated keys)started showing copper within a year or so on the Ab key, and in most other finger contact places later. I have a student model-clarinet from the 50's with nickel-plated keys which to this day shows almost no plating wear - 1 little spot on the register key. You can infer from this what you want - I infer that it's some problem with the Buffet plating process. When I have the clarinet overhauled, I will get the keys silver plated.
