Walter,
The Legere did exactly what you said in your post. It saved my butt last
Tuesday night at an orchestra rehearsal. Three reeds were playing great on
Monday in the community band rehearsal, but the weather changed and Tuesday
not only did those three not play well, but neither did others that I had. I
put on the Legere and it played just the way it always does. Still, for me
personally, a great cane reed seems to play better than the Legere, (it
counld be that they do not match the mouthpieces I play) but it sure is nice
to have a back-up that you can absolutely count on every time.
